Originally licensed in 1966, Boreal Creeping Red Fescue is a long-lived perennial grass that is often used for pasture in moist regions of Alberta. It produces modest yields and is adapted to the Gray Wooded soil region and the higher precipitation areas of Black soil region. This grass is also useful for turf and soil stabilization and is an important seed crop in Northern Alberta.
